  • How sharp are MDHAND knives out of the box? All MDHAND knives are professionally sharpened before leaving the factory, with a precision edge angle (15–20 degrees per side) for effortless slicing, dicing, and chopping. You can start using them immediately without additional sharpening.
  • How long will the blade stay sharp with regular home use? With proper care (hand washing, using soft cutting boards, and regular honing), MDHAND knives will maintain their sharpness for 2–3 months of daily home use. Heavy use (e.g., daily meal prep for 4+ people) may require sharpening every 1–2 months.
  • Can I sharpen MDHAND knives myself, or do I need a professional? You can sharpen them yourself using a 1000–3000 grit whetstone (ideal for precision) or a honing steel for quick touch-ups. For beginners or if you want the best results, we recommend professional sharpening once a year.

Durability & Material

  • What materials are MDHAND knives made of, and are they rust-resistant? MDHAND knives are available in three premium materials: Damascus steel (unique pattern, mild rust resistance with proper care), high-carbon stainless steel (rust-resistant and durable), and ceramic (extremely sharp, rust-proof but brittle). All materials are food-safe and built for long-term use.
  • Will the blade chip or bend easily? Our blades are made of high-quality steel (or ceramic) with strict quality control to resist chipping and bending. Chipping typically occurs only if the knife is used incorrectly (e.g., cutting bones, prying, or dropping) – follow our care guide to avoid damage.
  • How long do MDHAND knives last? With proper care (cleaning, sharpening, and storage), MDHAND knives can last 5–10 years or more. Many customers use our knives for decades with regular maintenance.

Care & Maintenance

  • Can I put MDHAND knives in the dishwasher? No. Dishwashers use high temperatures, harsh detergents, and violent movement that can dull the blade, loosen the handle, and cause rust (for carbon steel/Damascus). Always hand wash with warm soapy water and dry immediately.
  • What’s the best way to store MDHAND knives? The safest storage options are a knife block, magnetic strip, or the original MDHAND knife sheath. Never toss knives into a drawer with other utensils – this will dull the edge and scratch the blade.
  • Do I need to oil my MDHAND knife? Only Damascus and high-carbon steel knives need light oiling (food-grade mineral oil) after drying to prevent rust and maintain their finish. Stainless steel and ceramic knives do not require oiling.

  • What is MDHAND’s warranty policy for knives? We offer a 1-year limited warranty on all knives, covering manufacturing defects (e.g., loose handles, blade defects). The warranty does not cover damage from improper use (chipping, bending, rust from neglect) or normal wear and tear.
  • What if my knife arrives damaged or defective? Contact our support team at mdhandpro@gmail.com within 7 days of delivery, with photos of the damage/defect and your order number. We will arrange a free replacement or refund.
  • Can I return or exchange a knife if I’m not satisfied? Yes. We offer a 30-day return/exchange policy for unused, undamaged knives (with original packaging). Contact support to start the process – return shipping is free for qualifying orders.

Usage & Safety

  • What cutting boards are best for MDHAND knives? Use soft, non-abrasive cutting boards (wooden, bamboo, or rubber) to protect the blade. Avoid hard surfaces like glass, marble, or metal – these will quickly dull the edge.
  • Can MDHAND knives cut through bones or frozen food? No. Never use MDHAND knives to chop bones, crack nuts, pry, or cut frozen food – these actions can chip the blade, bend the edge, or damage the handle.
  • Are MDHAND knives safe for left-handed users? Yes. All MDHAND knives have an ergonomic handle designed for both left and right-handed users, with a balanced weight for comfortable, safe use.
